Our History 𓅞
It all started one evening, scrolling through my Facebook feed.
I stumbled upon a photo of my best friend, Olivia, at a restaurant with her first baby. She was smiling, but her face broke my heart. She had such dark circles under her eyes... I had never seen her like that, so marked by exhaustion. Talking to her the next day, I understood that the real problem, beyond the fatigue, was this immense mental load. Between managing the house, meals, appointments, and daily life, mothers already carry everything on their shoulders. And when it's finally time to sleep, another invisible anxiety is added: that of staring at the baby monitor screen at 3 AM, trying to guess in complete darkness if the infant's pajamas are actually moving.
I absolutely wanted to find something to help her get a break. I looked for solutions, but the childcare industry only offers overpriced and ultra-complex electronic monitors. Parents are encouraged to buy connected gadgets everywhere, with batteries that heat up or sensors to attach directly to the baby's body. For my loved ones and me, it was unthinkable: why overload a newborn's environment with even more unnecessary electronics?
For several months, I searched, tested, and developed the ZuZuPatch. It's a small, totally passive retro-reflective marker. It needs no battery, no wires, no electronics: it simply uses the infrared light already emitted by current baby monitors to make the baby's breathing instantly visible in the dark.
The first version was created especially for Olivia. Seeing her nights change, I understood that this product had to exist for all other mothers.
When you have a baby, every minute of sleep counts. Recovering that rest means regaining the vital energy essential to enjoy your child during the day. Today, ZuZuPatch's mission is to lighten the mental load of mothers with simple solutions, so that everyone can finally close their eyes with peace of mind.
